Makani's has won awards & been Hawaii Tribune Heralds "best of" several years in a row since opening.
Many tourists say that Makani's made their trip to Hilo. The locals go to Makani's as their special treat, take visitors & stop by daily. A-lister Demi Lovato, amongst others, have even quoted Makani's as having "the best acai bowl in the world".
